2. Aircraft ready for roll out
All hardware, software and electronics are integrated into the aircraft. The aircraft is ready for roll-out from the hangar.
3. Runway tests
First ground tests, taxi tests, can be performed at the runway of Breda Airport
4. RWE starts contructing our test site
The high-wind test site in Ireland is being constructed by our partner RWE (former E.ON), a large German utility.
5. Ground system ready
The launch and land platform and power generation system are ready for installation in Ireland
6. Low wind testing
Following the ground tests, the aircraft is commissioned for flight testing at a low-wind site. The flight envelope will slowly be expanded and its aerodynamics are identified. First flights are being performed at a test site in Spain.
7. High wind testing
At the high-wind test site in Ireland, the aircraft, the launch and land platform and the power generation system will be integrated and tested together as a whole system. Our AWES is ready for first power generation flights.
